St. Joseph School put its motto of "Come Grow With Us" into action on Sunday, March 3 with a Groundbreaking + Site Blessing to celebrate the start of construction for our school's first addition since 1955.
Over 125 enthusiastic and supportive parishioners braved the cold for the momentus ceremony that was officiated by our Pastor Fr. John and Fr. Bill Cullen.
SJS 6th grader Hannah Baer served as lector for the reading and School Board President Sarah Paul read the intentions. Fr. John then thanked our parishioners for their generosity and devotion to the parish community.
Groundbreakers included: Campaign Chairs Steve & Cindy Jagielo, Duke & Nancy Petrovich and Burt & Christy Yeo, Architect Bill Sturm, Principal Rita Stasi and our Pastor Fr. John Phan.
"We are excited about our new classrooms, handicap accessibility and enhanced security at the school," Mrs. Stasi said.
The St. Joseph School addition is expected to be completed this August. It will include an elevator to provide accessibility throughout the school, three classrooms, a secure entrance, administrative offices, improved hallway circulation and two restrooms.
St. Joseph School has over 400 students in grades PreK through Grade Eight and is currently enrolling students for fall 2019. Come Grow With Us.
