Facilities Maintenance Engineer (Full-time with benefits)
The Parish is seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Engineer. This role is responsible for the planning, directing, supervising and performing the maintenance of all buildings owned and operated by St. Joseph Parish. The parish includes: Church, School, Parish Center, Priests' residence and surrounding parking lots and grounds.
The Parish is seeking a part-time Director of Development. The primary goal of this position is to grow the annual operating budget of the parish and the school. This includes parish offertory, fundraising events and developing strategies to grow the base of financial support for the church and the school.
Director of Liturgy and Music (Full-time with benefits)
The Director of Liturgy and Music is an integral member of the Worship staff at St. Joseph’s Parish with responsibility for preparing liturgy and music that serves the parish community and consistently reaches out to evangelize to all. With the goal of planning, facilitating, and leading joyful and engaging public worship for the parish, the Director collaborates with the pastoral staff, liturgical ministers, and other members of the parish as appropriate. Director of Youth Ministry (Full-time with benefits)
Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Downers Grove is seeking to hire a Director of Youth Ministry. This position is full-time with benefits. The main objective of the Director of Youth Ministry is to support the parish in forming young people into intentional disciples of Jesus Christ. The Director of Youth Ministry will oversee middle school and high school youth programs to build a culture of discipleship within the youth, parents and volunteers. This will include leading the 7th and 8th grade religious education program and preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. The role of the Director of Youth Ministry is to provide our junior high and high school students with opportunities for prayer, catechesis, social and community service. Qualifications include an undergraduate degree in Theology, Catechetics, Catholic Studies, or comparable formation. Candidates must be a Catholic, in good standing, who also supports the mission and vision of the parish. Must have skills in administration, organization, and teaching.
