The Saint Joseph Parish Council of Catholic Women acts through its members to support, empower, and educate all Catholic women in spirituality, leadership, and service through its various activities.
We do all things with the guidance and through the intercession of Our Lady,
to whom our Council is dedicated.
We are women of all ages and stages of life who are working to “know God, love Him and serve Him”. We invite all women of St. Joseph's to become active in CCW. We are all members and by our participation we enhance ourselves, our parish, our community, and our world.
By our activities and our participation, we radiate outward from ourselves and through the rings of CCW: beyond St. Joe’s, each parish CCW is part of a Deanery; the Deanery is represented on the Diocese level by the Deanery President. The Diocese is represented on the Province level by the Diocesan President. The Province is represented at the National Council of Catholic Women by the Province Director. In this way, we all are a part of the National Council of Catholic Women.
The National CCW represents Catholic women in many ways. It has a position on the United Nations which gives us a Catholic women’s voice at this organization. We are represented at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. In the Catholic Woman magazine, an NCCW publication, each issue has a list of the various Faith Based and Community Organizations where NCCW also has representation. The list is quite impressive. However, it does not stop there. NCCW is also part of the World Union of Catholic Women. This organization is recognized by the Vatican as a voice for Catholic women in the world. We are all connected and we can all make a difference by starting right here at home, at St. Joe’s.
